As part of the human rights protection policies upheld by the Argentine Republic, and in order to address the humanitarian crisis affecting the civilian population of Ukraine, the Directorate of Migration of Argentina published today the following provision authorizing humanitarian visas to facilitate and guarantee the protection and family reunification of Ukrainian citizens:

THE NATIONAL DIRECTOR OF MIGRATION PROVIDES:
ARTICLE 1.- Authorize the granting of residence in the category provided for in article 23 subsection m) of Law No. 25,871, for Humanitarian Reasons and with an authorized period of stay of THREE (3) years, to foreign nationals from Ukraine and their direct relatives, regardless of their nationality, who at the time of issuance of this measure are outside the Argentine Republic.
ARTICLE 2°.- The granting of an Entry Permit and temporary visa of the category provided for in article 23 subsection m) of Law No. 25,871, for Humanitarian Reasons and with an authorized period of stay of THREE (3) years, is authorized to foreign nationals from Ukraine and their direct relatives, regardless of their nationality, who present this application for admission at the offices of the Argentine consular network.
ARTICLE 3.- It is established that the beneficiaries will be exempt from the payment of immigration fees provided for in article 1, subsection e) section II, and subsection d) section II of Decree No. 231/2009 and complementary and amending regulations, since their situation in the state of vulnerability referred to is framed by DNM Provision No. 165 of January 31, 2014, and also meet the humanitarian reasons required by Article 17 subsection e) of Decree No. 616/10 to establish said criterion of dispensation.
ARTICLE 4 - The entry into force of this measure will take place from its publication in the Official Gazette.
ARTICLE 5 - Communicate, publish, give to the NATIONAL DIRECTORATE OF THE OFFICIAL REGISTRY and file this provision.
