STUDENT VISA -365 / VOLUNTEER VISA

This student visa is intended for studying in the Argentine Republic for a period of less than 365 days.

 

Necessary documents:

  • 1) Passport (valid for at least 6 months beyond the planned duration of stay and at least 2 pages in blank)
  • 2) One recent colour photo in 4 x 4 cm format or biometric passport photo, facing the camera, on a white background.
  • 3) Current residence registration form
  • 4) Completed (preferably electronically) visa application form signed by the applicant with exact details of the place of residence (home address) in Argentina. (available online)
  • 5) Confirmation of adequate financial resources for the entire stay (last 3 bank statements, and last 3 payslips when possible)
  • 6) Applicants over 16 years of age: signature of an affidavit of no international criminal record (available online)
  • 7) Applicants over the age of 16 who will be staying in Argentina for more than 6 months: Criminal record extract (police clearance certificate) from the country of origin or from the country where the applicant has resided for more than 1 (one) year in the last 3 (three) years (only if the stay in Argentina is longer than 6 months), consisting of: Original criminal record extract, current and notarized with apostille andTranslation into Spanish of the criminal record extract with apostille, by a certified translator. The translation should also be provided with the additional apostille.
  • 8) The educational institution must be duly registered in the National Registry of Applicants on behalf of Foreign Applicants in Argentina (RENURE) and have the corresponding registration number. If the host is not registered with RENURE, please call (54-11) 4317-0200/0303/0337 to make the registration.
  • 9) Travel insurance that covers the time in Argentina. IN SPANISH
  • 10) Flight ticket or flight reservation (entry and exit tickets) IN SPANISH. Attention: The date of the flight ticket should not exceed the date of the course start on the Precarga de Datos.
  • 11) Hotel or place of staying IN SPANISH
  • 12) Cost: 150 Euros (to be paid only by debit or credit card on the day of the appointment)
  • 13) Consular interview
  • 14) If the student/volunteer is a minor: consent of both parents to apply for the visa and the name of the responsible guardian in Argentina. PLEASE NOTE THAT BOTH PARENTS MUST COME TO THE APPOINTMENT IF THE APPLICANT IS A MINOR.

 

The following documents are specific for each type of visa:

1. Student visa -365 (for stays of less than 365 days)

  • 1) A letter from the institution with the exact date of the beginning of the course. The exchange student must arrive in Argentina BEFORE the start of the course (arrival of the flight in Argentina on the day of the start of the course at the latest), the last day for valid entry is the day of the start of the course.I N SPANISH
  • 2) Electronic submission of student data by the educational institution to the National Directorate of Migration. (Precarga de Datos electrónica). Attention: The ARRIVAL of the flight in Argentina must be no later than the day the course begins (date on the Precarga de Datos).
  • 3) Study program of the university in Argentina IN SPANISH

2. Volunteer Visa

  • 1) Confirmation of acceptance from the Argentinian institute with the exact start and end date of the volunteer service. The volunteer must arrive in Argentina BEFORE the start of the volunteer assignment (flight arrival in Argentina on the day of the volunteer assignment at the latest), the last day for valid entry is the day of the volunteer assignment. IN SPANISH
  • 2) Electronic transmission of the volunteer's data by the organization to the National Directorate of Migration (Precarga de datos electrónica). This must be requested by the organization where the volunteer works.

TRAVEL PERMIT (Required for visa applicants under the age of 18)

It is required that both parents apply for the travel authorisation and sign PERSONALLY at the consulate.

The following documents are required:

1) International extract of birth record with apostille: original birth certificate of the minor (a multilingual or international version) WITH APOSTILLE. Original certificate must be presented but will not be retained.

2) Valid passports of both parents and the minor. For Argentinean parents, the DNI is also required.

3) Registration form of the parents and the minor

- The fee is 50 Euros.

 

NOTES

Visa application fees: A fee of EUR 150.00 must be paid at the relevant consulate on the day of the appointment. The visa will only be processed after payment of the aforementioned amount. Although the fee is a prerequisite for the visa application, it does not guarantee that the visa will be issued.

Validity of the visa: This is the period within which the first entry to Argentina must take place. After the specified validity period has expired, entry to Argentina with an invalid visa is no longer possible.

Residence period: This is the agreed period within which a stay in Argentina is possible. It is calculated in calendar days and also includes those days spent outside Argentina, for example in the course of a trip. Similarly, in the case of visas with the possibility of multiple entries to Argentina, the trip is made up as follows: The period is calculated from the day of the first entry to Argentina to the day of the last exit. This period may not exceed the agreed number of days.
