Slovakian, Slovenian and Austrian citizens may take part in this programme if they meet the following requirements at the time of applying for a visa:
• Be a national of one of the three countries mentioned and hold a valid passport
• Be aged between 18 and 30
• They may not travel with family members, unless those family members obtain their own visa
• They must not have previously taken part in this programme
• They must have no criminal record
• They must have sufficient financial resources to cover the initial costs of their stay
• They must have a return ticket to their country of origin
• They must have health and accident insurance covering the costs of hospitalisation and repatriation for the 12-month duration of their stay
Please note that participants in this programme may stay in Argentina for up to 12 (twelve) months after receiving a holiday and work visa; this period cannot be extended. They may enter and leave Argentina and work for up to 6 (six) months with the same employer, as the main aim of this programme is to promote tourism and leisure activities. They may also attend training courses for up to 6 (six) months during their stay.
How do you apply for the holiday and work visa? The visa application is first submitted by email by scanning all the documents listed below and sending them as a single PDF to consular-etria@mrecic.gov.ar. Once all the documents are complete, an appointment will be arranged.
On the day of your appointment, the following documents (originals and photocopies) must be submitted:
1) A valid passport with at least one blank page
2) Completed visa application form (online – see formulars)
3) One 4 x 4 photograph with a white background
4) A certificate issued by the authorities at your place of habitual residence confirming the absence of any criminal convictions in the last three years, bearing a Hague Apostille, an official translation into Spanish and a second Apostille on the translation.
5) A statutory declaration confirming the absence of any criminal convictions in other countries (online – see formulars)
7) Proof of sufficient financial means to cover the start of your stay (at least 3,000 EUR). This requirement can be demonstrated by bank statements for the last three months or credit card statements (in your own name, not those of third parties).
8) A booking confirmation or quotation for health and accident insurance with a minimum cover of 30,000 EUR, covering medical care and the repatriation of remains.
9) A letter of motivation stating that the purpose of the application is a holiday in Argentina, with employment being a secondary activity. IN SPANISH
10) Consular fee: 150 euros. This must be paid on the day of the appointment by credit or debit card. Cash is not accepted.
