GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY AND ENSURE THAT YOU FULFIL ALL LEGAL REQUIREMENTS TO AVOID DELAYS IN THE PROCESS.

Each visa application is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

In accordance with the relevant laws of the Republic of Argentina and international customs, the consular authority is authorised to refuse the visa and/or request additional documents to those mentioned.

The fulfilment of the aforementioned requirements does not guarantee the granting of the visa, as this is an exclusive prerogative of the Argentine state.

False statements will result in the refusal of the visa, expulsion and a ban on re-entry.

 

VISA CATEGORIES:

Transit visas: tourist visa, naval visa, business visa, technical visa, artist visa, religious visa, professional visa, student visa;

Temporary visas: work visa; transferee personnel;

Permanent visas: family reunification;

VISA APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

An appointment is required to submit the required documents and visa application. Please complete the following form, which is written in English.

Place of visa application:

If you are a resident of Austria, Slovakia or Slovenia, you can apply for your visa at the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Vienna. Address: Lugeck 1/7, 1010 Vienna: Lugeck 1/7, 1010 Vienna, Austria.

Please send all documentation in ONE PDF FILE to consular-etria@mrecic.gov.ar. It will be checked with the consul and if the documents are enough we will provide you with an appointment date. You have to come in person to the appointment and BRING ALL THE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS WITH YOU.

Passengers in TRANSIT to other destinations and staying less than 12 hours at the Argentine international airport do not need to have a visa stamped in their passport.

Applications must be submitted at least 1 (one) month before the planned date of travel.

Visa applications are usually processed in the order in which they are received. However, the time frame varies depending on the type of visa applied for and the time required to fulfil all requirements.

The co-operation of agents is NOT required for the completion of procedures and formalities at this Embassy.

OPENING HOURS:

The visa centre is open from Monday to Friday from 09:30 to 13:30.

The embassy is closed on Argentine and Austrian public holidays. The telephone hours are from 14:00 to 16:00.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION ON THE DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR EACH VISA CATEGORY:

 

*On the day of the appointment, you must bring ALL original documents, including the certificate of residence.

*The visa application forms must be completed and signed by the applicants. They must be printed on 3 (three) separate pages.

*Visa applications with incomplete documents will not be accepted.

*A separate visa application form is required for each applicant.

*For temporary/permanent visas 2 (two) passport photos in 4x4 format (can be taken in photo boxes).

*For temporary visas 1 (one) 4x4 passport photo (can be taken in photo boxes).

*If a criminal record extract is presented, it must be notarised/apostilled and duly translated into Spanish. The consular authority may require additional documents depending on the case.

*Providing false information on the visa application or during the interview may result in a permanent refusal of entry to Argentina.

*Do not sign the application form without checking it.

*It is strongly recommended that you do not book flight tickets and hotel accommodation until you have received your visa-stamped passport. If your visa is refused, there will be no refund for any of the visa categories.

*The visa fee is mandatory to initiate the visa process, which includes document verification, interview and visa stamping.

*In the case of minors, authorisation from the person exercising parental rights is required. If both parents exercise parental rights, they must be accompanied by both parents at the personal interview. The visa form for minors must be signed by all persons exercising parental rights.

CONSULAR INTERVIEW:

After checking the documents submitted, you will be invited to a personal interview .

The personal interview with the consul is required by law and does not allow any exceptions.

This embassy does not conduct interviews online or by telephone.

FEES:

The fee is set in EURO and can only be paid by card on the day of the appointment at the consular section. Cash is not accepted.
