Travel Permit for Minors
-To ENTER Argentina: Children and adolescents who have not reached EIGHTEEN (18) years of age, whatever their nationality and category of entry, and who are not accompanied by those exercising parental responsibility, need authorization to enter the country.
-To EXIT Argentina: Children and adolescents who have not reached EIGHTEEN (18) years of age, whether they are Argentine nationals or resident aliens1 or who have stayed for a period equal to or greater than one (1) year, need authorization to leave the country.
Authorization to leave the country shall not be necessary when:
- Argentine minors have their domicile or residence abroad, and such circumstance must be evidenced by means of an identification document or other public instrument evidencing such circumstance.
- Foreigners under 18 years of age who have only resided in Argentina on a transitory basis (e.g. tourists) provided that they have not stayed more than 1 year since their entry.
a) CONFECTION OF THE TRAVEL VIAGE
The confection of the Travel Permit does not require the physical presence of the minor at the consular office, nor does it require the minor to be in the jurisdiction of said office;
It will be the applicant of the Travel Permit or Travel Authorization who must make an appointment at the Consular Representation, in order to verify his/her identity and personal documentation, as well as his/her capacity to grant it;
b) DOCUMENTATION TO BE SUBMITTED:
- Birth Certificate of the minor. If the birth certificate is foreign, it is suggested to obtain an International Extract of the birth certificate with apostille (Internationaler Auszug aus dem Geburtseintrag mit Apostille).
- Passport of the minor
- ID card and passport of the parents. - Proof of address of the child and parents (In Austria: Meldezettel. In Slovenia and Slovakia it is the reverse side of the residence title, or identification card). This documentation must also be presented in ORIGINAL on the day of the appointment.
c) FEE:
Preparation of a travel visa: 50 euros.

Please send all documentation in ONE PDF FILE to consular-etria@mrecic.gov.ar. It will be checked with the consul and we will give you an appointment. BOTH PARENTS should come to the appointment.
